While fans were elated to learn of Dhoni’s Tamil debut as a producer, the cricketer’s production team recently released a statement dismissing all the rumors.
MS Dhoni won’t fund Nayanthara’s next one
The production team of MS Dhoni recently took their official Instagram account as Dhoni Entertainment Pvt Ltd and released a statement revealing that they are not working with any man named Sanjay and added that they deny any hiring or such collaboration. Additionally, they urged everyone to beware of such rumors and mentioned that they will be sharing details about their upcoming plans shortly.
The statement read: “Dhoni entertainment is not currently working with anyone named Sanjay. exciting stories that we will be sharing with all of you shortly. Stay tuned and watch this space for more! – Dhoni Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.” (sic)
It all started when several outlets reported that MS Dhoni was set to fund a Kollywood movie titled by popular actor Nayanthara who was recently seen in the hit comedy. Kaathuvaakula Rendering Kaadhal. Reports also claimed that the cricketer has teamed up with Sanjay, a close associate of veteran actor Rajinikanth, for his first venture. On top of that, it was mentioned that the movie was set to start production this month.
The former Indian cricket team skipper earlier announced his graphic novel titled Atharva: the origin. The cover of the same was unveiled by Rajinikanth. The cover of the novel featured MS Dhoni in golden armor. In a statement to the media, Mr. Ramesh Thamilmani, who wrote the novel, spoke of working closely with Dhoni on the project.
