A Mexican production company has announced that it will create its own version of Netflix’s hit South Korean series “The Squid Game,” which broke the platform’s audience records, reaching 111 million views.
Mexican businessman SimÃ³n Levy announced in a video shared on his Twitter account that he had entered into a strategic alliance to make a version of ‘The Squid Game’ with Mexican producer Lemon Estudios, director of the series’ Monarca ‘, also broadcast by Netflix.
At his side were brothers Billy and Fernando Rovzar, founders of Lemon Estudios, and Brazilian designer Diego Ruzzarin.
Billy Rovzar called on writers interested in participating in the project to send their material by email. “If they want to shake up society, with content that makes people think and entertains people,” he explained.
