Ross Video, a global leader in video production technology, becomes the first Canadian compassionate company certified by the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association

Ottawa, Canada – June 22, 2022 – The Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association (CHPCA) today announced Ross Video, which already had a “designation” as Canadian Compassionate Company (CCC), is elevated to the new certificate program.

Ross Video will also become CPHA’s first corporate ambassador. This is the result of the high standards of care and support during difficult times, which Ross has shown to his employees. As the first ambassador, they will work with other Canadian companies to encourage them to do the same.

“The CCC Certificate Program is a tangible way for employers across Canada to show potential employees that real steps have been taken to provide a caring environment and we know that matters,” says Laurel Gillespie, CEO of the CPSA. “What Ross Video has done is demonstrate in a concrete way that at every turn, people always come first.”

In many cases, the CCC program lists things, like personal leave, that are already covered by law in Canada. However, the checklist also includes concrete ways in which the organization has demonstrated support for those coping with the bereavement, loss or illness of a loved one. By applying to become a Canadian Compassionate Company, organizations receive valuable tools from CPHA’s partners, including lessons on how to help colleagues support each other in the event of a loss, and significant savings for employees. to use for their personal wishes.

Ross Video CEO David Ross said, “We believe there is a competitive advantage in taking better care of our customers than anyone else. I know the only way to do this really really well is for Ross to have our employees’ backs so they feel supported and in turn have our customers’ backs. People need to feel safe and appreciated to do their best. People also notice if a company supports their friends at work in times of need. I love when good business and doing the right thing come together. It is CCC certification.
