Emmy Award-winning producer Chris Boniello has been hired by The Podglomerate as VP of Production Services for the podcast production and monetization company. In the newly created role, Boniello will oversee production and audio editing for The Podglomerate’s various clients and podcast series. He will also work to expand the company’s capability in audio editing, mixing and sound engineering services for its portfolio of podcast clients.

“We’re thrilled to have Chris lead our production arm as we expand The Podglomerate’s services for our podcast customers and transition to more original productions,” said Podglomerate CEO Jeff Umbro. “Chris has the perfect blend of consumer-facing and B2B production experience and a clear passion for sound-rich storytelling. The Podglomerate is positioned to bring more podcasts to the masses with an even higher threshold of quality and integrity. We can’t wait for the world to hear what we’re working on.

It’s a return engagement for Boniello, who was previously head of production at The Podglomerate from 2017 to 2019. Most recently he has been a freelance writer and producer working on shows such as The History’s History This Week. Channel, Spotify’s The Best Advice Podcast, and Lifetime’s I Love A Lifetime Movie Podcast.

Boniello previously worked at ESPN where he won the Emmy Award for “Outstanding Sports Promotional Announcement” for his large-scale video production focusing on the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He also spent time on “Saturday Night Live” from NBC.

“Great sound design can bring an audience into a new world like no other medium,” says Boniello. “I look forward to working with our team at Podglomerate to amplify exciting stories to listeners new and old.”

In his new role, Boniello will report directly to CEO Jeff Umbro.
