Virtual production company Dark Slope partners with Insight Productions to develop immersive, experiential television for the new era of metaverse entertainment

May 17, 2022 – dark slopea Toronto-based metaverse virtual game and production company, and Insight Productionsa Canadian production company, today announced a partnership to develop original competition formats for a new era of metaverse entertainment.

According to the companies, the projects will use cutting-edge virtual production technologies to elevate the reality TV genre and produce a range of formats for children and adults. Production on the first draft is expected to begin later this year.

Dark Slope announced its “Hyperreality Initiative” late last year, which is expected to produce a new form of immersive and experiential television and “blur the lines between the real world and the digital world”.
